Teimana Harrison was the big winner at the Northampton Saints End of Season Awards last night.

The dynamic back rower was named as the inaugural DTB Breakthrough Player of the Season, the Carlsberg Players’ Player of the Season and the Travis Perkins Supporters’ Player of the Season, capping what has been a stellar few months.

Harrison’s memorable weekend has also included a call-up into England’s training squad and being named as the Aviva Premiership Player of the Month for April, and he has been taken aback by the recognition.

“Just to be nominated for Breakthrough Player of the Season is amazing; I’m just lucky to get it,” said Harrison.

“It’s awesome to get recognized by my peers for Players’ Player. Your peers voted for it so that makes it extra special. For them to notice how well they think you’re playing is amazing.

"I also want to thank the supporters. Without them, we wouldn't be where we are, doing what we're doing, so to get their award is great."

The event, which was sponsored by GRS Group and hosted by ITV Sport’s David Flatman, also saw awards handed out to Harry Mallinder (Ewing Associates Young Player of the Season) and Ben Foden (Trevor Dighton Try of the Season), with club photographer Claire Jones taking home the Elite Insurance Clubman of the Year and Stephen Morgan being recognised for his contribution to rugby across the East Midlands by taking home the Northampton Rugby Spirit Award, which is presented in conjunction with Northampton Borough Council.

Alison Penny, Margaret Scott, Mark Hopley and Dylan Hartley received awards for their 10 years’ service on the staff at Franklin’s Gardens.
