The Mobbs Memorial Match returns to Franklin’s Gardens on Wednesday, April 13th with Northampton Saints taking on the British Army.
In recent seasons the Mobbs Memorial Match has given us some entertaining rugby and provided a showcase for some outstanding rugby players to show off their skills.
Several players who are now regulars in the Saints’ first team - including Tom Collins, Harry Mallinder and Teimana Harrison - came to prominence in the Match, while Bath and England winger Semesa Rokoduguni impressed with his pace, power and skill in his 2014 outing at the Gardens.
What is more, the greater the attendance at Franklin’s Gardens, the more local club rugby benefits in the Northampton area.
Revenues from the Mobbs Memorial Match go towards the charitable aims of the Mobbs Memorial Trust, which supports junior club rugby in the East Midlands.
In 2016 donations have been made to 17 clubs, as well as three sub-counties.
So the more people who come, the more money is received and the greater the fund base for junior clubs!
Tickets are on sale now for the game, priced at £10 for adults and £3 for juniors and concessions. To order online head to www.northamptonsaints.co.uk/buytickets and follow the straightforward instructions. using Print@Home to save the admin fees.
