Northampton Saints celebrate with a trophy parade

Thousands celebrate Saints’ success with town centre parade

Northampton Saints would like to thank everyone who came out to show their support and share their congratulations with the Club during last weekend’s celebrations.

Thousands of people lined the streets of Northampton on Sunday (21 June) to celebrate our Gallagher PREM Final triumph against Exeter Chiefs, and the team’s incredible success across the season.

The squad and staff took part in an open-topped bus tour of the town, ending at the Guildhall, and supporters of all ages turned out in huge numbers – creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere.

The event was organised with significant support from West Northamptonshire Council, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone attending.

Julia Chapman, Chief Executive of Northampton Saints, said: “We are incredibly grateful to West Northamptonshire Council for its help in organising such an amazing event to acknowledge the Club’s success.

“Seeing so many people come out to celebrate with us was truly special. The connection between the team and our supporters means everything, and this was a fantastic way to share this moment together.”

Councillor Mark Arnull, Leader of West Northamptonshire Council, added: “It was fantastic to see so many people come together to celebrate this success.

“Events like this show what sport can do for our area by bringing communities closer and giving everyone a shared moment to enjoy.

“It builds a real sense of pride in the town and highlights what we can achieve when we work together.”

Local businesses also benefited from the increased footfall, with many reporting a busy and positive day as visitors travelled into Northampton to be part of the celebrations.

The parade marked a fitting end to a remarkable season for the Club and its supporters, underlining the important role Northampton Saints plays in the life of the town and the strength of feeling behind the team.
