Kick off for Saints versus Newcastle is at 1:45pm, with the Aviva Premiership encounter the first half of a superb rugby double that will continue with the first Rugby World Cup semi-final, which will be shown on the big screens within the stadium bowl and in the stadiummk arena.

The game is included in the 2015/16 Season Ticket package, and as with last April’s game against Saracens Season Ticket Holders will be able to choose whereabouts in the stadium bowl they would like to sit within the same price bracket as their seats at Franklin’s Gardens.

Season Ticket Holders have until Monday, August 31st, to inform the Saints Ticket Office as to any particular requests as to where they would like to sit and who they would like to sit with. After this date Season Ticket Holders will be allocated a seat within an equivalent area to their usual block at Franklin’s Gardens.

Furthermore, Season Ticket Holders can claim a special Early Bird discount of nearly 20 percent on any additional tickets they order before Monday, August 31st. Booking forms were included in Season Ticket packs, and can also be downloaded from www.northamptonsaints.co.uk/mk.

Season Ticket Holders can also confirm their booking and order additional tickets through their online accounts. Full details will be announced shortly on www.northamptonsaints.co.uk and via email.

Tickets are also on general sale to non-Season Ticket Holders in selected blocks in the lower tier at stadiummk, with prices starting at £26. Supporters can either book online at www.northamptonsaints.co.uk/buytickets or by visiting the Saints Superstore in person; supporters can use the Beacon Bingo car park during opening hours.

Full information about the game can be found at www.northamptonsaints.co.uk/mk.

This opening home match of 2015/16 has the potential to set the standard for the rest of the campaign.

Last season saw the Saints and Falcons share 80 points and eight tries in a classic encounter that went down to the final few minutes. Dean Richards’ team has earned plenty of plaudits for their approach to the game, and Newcastle’s entertaining and swashbuckling style of play has been rewarded by a significant increase in support over the past 12 months.

Saints, meanwhile, finished 2014/15 as the Aviva Premiership league winners, running in 75 tries and averaging nearly 30 points per game across the 22 rounds of action.

The club has also welcomed some bright new talent into the squad this summer, with the likes of Emerging Ireland fly half JJ Hanrahan, England Saxons back rower Jamie Gibson and Junior World Championship-winning prop Paul Hill just three players who will be donning black, green and gold.

October 24th will be the first time that supporters – who turned stadiummk into a cauldron of noise while setting a venue attendance record in April – will have the opportunity to get behind the team in 2015/16, and chief executive Allan Robson says that the game against Newcastle can set a marker for the new campaign.

“The opening home game of the season is always important, and October 24th gives us a great opportunity to hit the ground running on and off the pitch,” he commented. “The building of the new Barwell Stand means that we cannot play the game at Franklin’s Gardens, but stadiummk has been a great venue for us in the past, not least in April, which was an occasion which was well received by the 27,000-strong crowd who were in the stands and the players on the pitch.

“As with last time we are giving Season Ticket Holders the ability to choose whereabouts in stadiummk they want to sit, and free coach travel between Franklin’s Gardens and Milton Keynes on the day of the game.

“There will also be double the rugby on offer, with that day’s Rugby World Cup semi-final also being shown on the big screens, making it a day that will feature some of the best domestic and international action."
