On their last and only trip to Salford, Saints beat the fog and the Sharks 27-16 but with Steve Diamond’s side are having a resurgent 2013/14 and currently lie sixth in the Aviva Premiership alongside their Challenge Cup progression.
The Sharks are also undefeated at home in Europe having seen off Biarritz, Oyonnax and Worcester in the Challenge Cup Pool stages, so it will certainly be a big test for the Saints if they are to secure a home semi-final against either Stade Francais or Harlequins.
