Travel advice for Saints v Quins – allow plenty of time!

Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

Supporters heading to Saturday’s big match between the Saints and Harlequins are advised to allow extra time to get to Franklin’s Gardens, especially if they normally come through the centre of Northampton or use Weedon Road.

A sold-out stadium is expected on Saturday, and supporters who use the car are urged NOT to use Weedon Road. Ongoing roadworks are causing lengthy delays at all times of day and night at the moment, and this will be exacerbated by the weight of match day traffic.

So if you are driving to Franklin’s Gardens either use the Northampton ring road to access the official club car parks from the Sixfields end of Edgar Mobbs Way or make the most of the free car parking in the Northampton Borough Council multi-story car parks in the town centre and walk the final 15-20 minutes to the stadium.

The club’s official car parks open at 1pm, with the Village opening at 1:30pm and the stadium and bars fully open at 2.30pm. Kick off is at 4pm.

Season Ticket Holders can make the most of their half-price match day travel on London Midland trains. Simply show your Season Card at the manned ticket office at any station between Leighton Buzzard and Rugby to claim your 50 percent discount. Advance tickets can be booked in person at Wolverton and Long Buckby on weekdays, with their ticket offices being closed on Saturdays.
