Travel advice – Saints v Sale

Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

The Saints has issued the following travel advice ahead of Saturday’s Aviva Premiership game with Sale Sharks.

There is a date clash with Northampton Town FC’s home game against Cambridge United, and traffic in the St James, Sixfields, Upton and Duston areas is expected to be heavy, especially before both games.

Although the games are on the same day the kick offs are staggered, with the Saints’ game kicking off at 2pm and Northampton Town at 3pm.

The Saints’ usual post-match traffic management will be in operation on Edgar Mobbs Way between 3:30pm and 4:30pm (precise timings dependent on any delays in the action at Franklin’s Gardens), and the majority of cars are expected to have departed before the Northampton Town game finishes.

The Saints recommends that supporters use the club’s official car parks on Edgar Mobbs Way, which open at 11am. And if supporters choose not to use these car parks then they must park with due care and respect for the needs of local residents and businesses.

Season Ticket Holders can let the train take the strain and save 50 percent on their London Midland travel to Northampton from any station between Leighton Buzzard and Rugby. Simply take your Season Card to any manned ticket office to claim your discount!

There is no need to rush off after the Saints’ game has finished as England’s Six Nations game against Wales is being shown on the TVs live from Twickenham from 4pm, with live music to follow in the Rodber Suite thereafter.
