Two young Saints in England U18s squad

Two young Saints are heading to South Africa next month with the England U18s as they take part in the Aon U18 International Series.

Saints duo Josh Gillespie and Jack Hughes will both link up with the England squad next month and will be based at Stellenbosch Academy of Sport ahead of fixtures against France (Friday 10 August, KO 1.15pm BST), Wales (Tuesday 14 August, KO 1.15pm BST) and South Africa Schools (Saturday 18 August, KO 1.05pm BST).

The youngsters will link up with a squad of predominantly U17s with only five players named in the squad having previous experience of international rugby at U18s level. 

The 26-man squad will be coached by Steve Bates and Jim Mallinder, who will be assisted by Mark Luffman and Nick Kennedy.
