Voting for the cinch Player of the Month award for December is open, with supporters able to choose the Saint they believe made the biggest contribution on the pitch throughout Northampton’s final month of 2025.
The competition will remain open until Tuesday 6 January, when the winning player will be announced by Northampton Saints and cinch.
Throughout the season, cinch are also offering up a range of prizes for those who vote for the award, with one lucky supporter each month selected at random after voting closes. For December, one lucky winner will receive a Saints ball signed by the winner of this month’s award!
Saints came through December unbeaten across both the Investec Champions Cup and Gallagher PREM competitions, kicking off their stellar month with a dramatic 27-35 win at Section Paloise – where a late George Hendy screamer ended Pau’s unbeaten home record.
Northampton followed that up with a back-to-back wins at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens, as the men in Black, Green and Gold first ran in eight tries in a romping 50-5 result over Vodacom Bulls before scoring seven more as they sealed a 47-21 victory against Sale Sharks.
And perhaps Saints’ most satisfying victory came at the end of the month, when a much-changed Northampton side overturned league leaders Bath Rugby with a 21-41 win at the Recreation Ground to propel themselves to the top of the PREM table at the end of 2025.
With those clashes in mind, Saints’ coaches have selected five nominees for the monthly award: Alex Coles, George Hendy, Josh Kemeny, Tom Pearson and Henry Pollock.
Coles enjoyed a monumental month with Northampton in December, featuring in three of Saints’ clashes and impressing on both sides of the ball as the lock made an incredible 23 carries and 55 tackles in his three outings, with some 21 of those coming against Sale alone.
The only back to make it onto our forwards-dominated shortlist in December, Hendy made a splash in the final month of 2025 – scoring the match-winning try in Pau, claiming a hat-trick against Bulls, bagged a brace of scores as well as the player-of-the-match award in Saints’ victory over Sale, and produced a game-changing try assist against Bath.
A stellar solo score against Sale is a highlight that will live long in the memory of Saints supporters for Kemeny, but the back rower enjoyed a superb month right across the park in December as he made some 16 carries and 23 tackles in his three outings.
Pearson rounded out 2025 in an impressive vein of form with his 27 carries and 37 tackles catching the eye in his three matches in December, while the back rower’s work rate and speed produced an 80-minute stunner of a score to bring up a half-century of points for Saints against Sale.
The fourth and final forward to make this month’s shortlist is Pollock, whose four tries in December, including his brace against Bath last time out, earned him the plaudits of Saints’ coaches – while his 41 carries and six turnovers across the month also saw him top the stats for Northampton.
