The 23-year-old Saints Academy graduate has been a virtual ever-present in the club's first team match day squad for nearly three years, missing just one game since the 2011 Heineken Cup final.
Kettering-born Waller passed the 100-appearance mark earlier this season, and, somewhat surprisingly, today's call-up into the Saxons is his first England age group selection.
He joins fellow forwards Calum Clark and Sam Dickinson in the group, which will be coached by Jon Callard assisted by Simon Hardy and Paul Gustard.
The Saxons play two games over the next two weeks, against the Irish Wolfhounds at Gloucester on Saturday, January 25th, and against Scotland 'A' in Glasgow on Friday, January 31st.
In all 10 players have been drafted into the 25-man training squad as either injury cover or to replace those who have been taken into the senior England Six Nations training squad.
"Our philosophy on selection is to give some younger players an opportunity alongside one or two more established players who are looking to push into the Senior squad," said England head coach Stuart Lancaster.
"It is a great opportunity for players to put a marker down and show they have the ability to go from club to country and still deliver the club form many of them have been showing."
