Five Northampton Saints players have been picked by England for their Round 4 fixture of the 2026 Under-20 Men’s Six Nations Championship.
England head to Stadio Comunale di Monigo to take on Italy on Friday 6 March (kick-off: 7.15pm) with three young Saints in their starting line-up, with James Pater picked at fullback, Oliver Scola at loosehead prop and Aiden Ainsworth-Cave is in the second row.
Prop Sonny Tonga’uiha is named amongst the replacements, while scrum-half Jonny Weimann returns from injury to be named in his first Six Nations matchday squad of this season’s tournament.
Assistant coach Gareth Harris said: “After disappointment in Bath (a 21-31 loss to Ireland), the team have attacked this week with clarity and a clear focus on wanting to make a positive impact for the remainder of the tournament.
“As coaches, we have seen players’ commitment to their roles and have set the high standards we expect approaching a tough away test.
“We trust our squad will bring that relentlessness in their work and genuine enjoyment to give themselves every chance to succeed in Treviso.”
