Lock Emeka Atuanya joined Northampton Saints’ Senior Academy ahead of the 2021/22 season.  

A dominant physical presence at 6’7” tall, powerful Northampton School for Boys and Northampton Old Scouts forward Atuanya came through Northampton’s DPP before joining Saints’ under-16 side. 

Atuanya has also already earned international honours, with the second rower being named in England’s Under-17 training squad in 2020 before representing England at Under-18 level.  

The youngster was given his maiden run-out in Saints’ first team when he played in the Mobbs Memorial Match against the British Army at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens in April 2022, before making his full Saints debut against Saracens in the Premiership Rugby Cup in October of that year.
