LOCATION: cinch Stadium, Franklins Gardens
REPORTS TO: Lead Analyst
START DATE: This role will be for the 2026/2027 season and will therefore start July 2026.

REMIT:

As a performance analysis volunteer at Northampton Saints Rugby, you will have the opportunity to develop as an analyst within an elite rugby environment. You will play a pivotal role in the analysis department, contributing directly to the success of the senior squad, by providing invaluable insights and support to the coaching staff.

The successful candidate will be required to work mostly but not inclusive to five days a week, predominantly on Monday to Friday but also including weekends and evenings in line with the fixture schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the filming and coding of senior squad training sessions and matches.
  • Analyse performance data to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to team and opposition analysis, using a variety of different software and skills.
  • Assist the academy in the filming and coding of academy training sessions and matches.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Passion for sport and a desire to pursue a career in performance analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A good team player, willing to take on other team roles when required.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Competence in the use of keynote or PowerPoint software to present information.
  • Proficiency in video analysis software (e.g., sportscode, nacsport) is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of rugby union is an advantage.
  • Valid driving license is required.
  • This role is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure check.
