Gloucester Rugby vs Northampton Saints

The clock heads into the red as we restart and Gloucester push but Saints hold firm in defence. 

Gloucester look to maul from the lineout and get close before the comes down. 

Another advantage coming for Gloucester from the lineout and when we come back for it, they choose to re-take the lineout.

The home side push up to Saints' 22 and have an advantage coming. And when the ball finds Saints hands, we come back for the penalty. Twelvetrees sends it into the corner.

Lineout Saints on halfway then and Moon is the man to claim it. Saints push forwards but the ball comes loose on the ground and Gloucester claim it. 

Ludlam picks the ball off the back of the scrum and James boxes clear from there. Gloucester get there first but its a good defensive effort from Saints and they earn the penalty at the breakdown. Biggar sends it to touch once more. 

Scrappy at the lineout from Gloucester and Saints have the put in at the scrum as the ball comes forwards off Gloucester hands. 

James replaces Mitchell as we set the lineout.

Gloucester claim the lineout though and look to play from deep. They make it out of their 22 before earning a penalty there. Twelvetrees sends it to touch for a lineout on Saints' 22. 

Adendorff makes way for Coles as we set the lineout. 

Advantage coming for Saints as they continue to push up over Gloucester's 22 but eventually when Mitchell's offload finds Woodward, we come back to the penalty. Biggar sends the ball into the corner. 

Ludlow gets a hand to it though and Gloucester jump on the loose ball. Chapman boxes clear but Freeman is there and Saints push forwards again.

Penalty Saints at the scrum again and Biggar sends it to touch for a lineout on Gloucester's 22. 

Penalty Gloucester at the lineout but Twelvetrees sends the ball dead and Saints will have the scrum back at the halfway line. 

Mitchell boxes clear from the restart and Gloucester will have the lineout on halfway. 

Proctor makes way for Dingwall as we restart.

Penalty Saints at the scrum and Biggar points to the posts. 

Haywood replaces Matavesi as we get this scrum set.

Ludlam takes the restart but the ball comes loose off the back of it and Gloucester have the scrum this time. 

A huge shove at the scrum from Saints and they earn the penalty there. Biggar sends it to the corner for a lineout there.

Moon replaces Ratuniyarawa as we set the scrum. 

Gloucester claim the restart but knock on just after and Saints will have the scrum. 

Biggar pushes the conversion wide from the touchline but Saints gather the restart once again. Mitchell boxes clear and Gloucester will have the lineout back near halfway. 

Saints work hard though and turn the ball over. Freeman breaks through and races forwards, finding Hutchinson outside him before the ball comes back the other way. 

This one stays solid and Gloucester use the ball quickly. Woodward races forwards down the left wing and the home side push on Saints' 22. 

Free kick Gloucester at the scrum and Gloucester opt to scrum again. 

No conversion from Biggar out wide but Naiyaravoro is there for the restart and Proctor breaks free from deep as the ball comes wide to him. Saints push up to almost to Gloucester's 22 but the ball comes forwards there and the home side will have the scrum. 

Adendorff charges forwards off the lineout and the ball comes quickly wide to Proctor. The wing scrambles close but is taken down just short. 

Heinz boxes the restart clear and Freeman sets Naiyaravoro free before Saints earn a penalty at the breakdown too. Biggar sends it to touch for a lineout just outside Gloucester's 22. 

Van Wyk and Painter enter the game for Saints as Waller and Hill make way on the restart.

Biggar sends the restart short and it's Saints hands that gather it. Isiekwe barges forwards before Naiyaravoro takes over. Ratuniyarawa works close to the 22 before the ball comes wide and Francis gets Saints there.

Isiekwe takes the lineout and Proctor charges forwards off the back of it. Biggar sends the ball high and Thorley just gets there first.

Heinz sends the ball skyward again and Mitchell is there but he's hit after he's marked the ball and Saints have the free kick. Mitchell sends it long but Atkinson is there to keep it in touch and Heinz puts boot to ball again to send it into touch for another Gloucester lineout on Saints' 22. 

Ratuniyarawa takes the lineout and Saints push forwards with the maul. Mitchell boxes when it comes to halt and Moyle collects. Gloucester play on around halfway.

Mitchell sends the ball high into the air and Gloucester get there first. Heinz clears long and Saints have the lineout on their own 22. 

Gloucester think they've turned the ball over at the ruck but Saints work hard to regather and push on once again. 

Biggar sends it high and Ribbans does well to collect it. Saints push on over the halfway line and keep coming.

Twelvetrees sends his first penalty of the afternoon wide though and Saints have the 22 drop out to restart.

Advantage coming for Gloucester from the scrum as the home side push on. They work their way up to the five metre line but knock the ball on and we come back for the scrum penalty. Twelvetrees points to the posts.

Saints push forwards from the restart but Ratuniyarawa can't collect Francis' pass and Gloucester have the scrum on Saints' 22.

Twelvetrees gets us restarted here at Kingsholm. 

Time's up as we set the scrum but Saints earn a penalty there and Biggar will send it to the corner for one last attack in this half.

Gloucester claim this lineout and attempt to maul forwards but Saints hold them well and earn the put in at the scrum for their efforts.

Heinz boxes clear from the restart and Freeman returns it well. Lineout Gloucester on their own 22.

Atkinson breaks through off the back of the scrum we restart with and Evans gets up into Saints' 22 before he loses the ball forwards there. Adendorff is pinged for a high tackle though and Twelvetrees points to the posts once again.

Freeman replaces Furbank and Carreras is replaced by Seabrook as we restart.

Isiekwe gets in the air to take the restart and Mitchell sends the ball high off the back of it. Woodward is there and Gloucester come forwards, but Saints' defence holds firm and Heinz is forced to send the box kick up. But as Furbank and Carreras go up for it they clash heads and we pause the game while they're seen to. 

Held up says the TMO but with advantage coming for Saints in the build up, we come back for that penalty. Biggar points to the posts.

Saints think they've made it over the try line but we're with the TMO to check the grounding. 

Adendorff and Ribbans push to get play up to the five metre line and still Saints push. 

Ribbans disrupts the lineout and though Gloucester come away with the ball, Heinz sends it high to Naiyaravoro. The winger charges forwards and Saints are quickly in the Gloucester 22 once again.

Hutchinson spots space in behind and chips through, the ball bobbling through to the corner for a Gloucester lineout there.

Mitchell, Francis and Matavesi team up to get Saints up to the halfway line before the ball comes wide to Proctor. He slips past Thorley before he's taken but Saints keep coming. 

Biggar pulls the conversion left from out wide but Naiyaravoro claims the restart and charges through several Gloucester defenders to get Saints going again.

Adendorff barges his way close and Saints are within inches now. There's another advantage coming Saints way too but still they push. 

Isiekwe is the man in the air and Saints are pressing again. Furbank charges in at speed before Francis makes it up to the five metre line. 

Saints collect the lineout well and have an advantage coming for a high tackle on Mitchell. Eventually we come back for it and Biggar sends it to the corner.

Heinz clears the restart and Saints will have the lineout back near halfway. 

Saints look to clear but Gloucester counter-ruck and earn a penalty at the breakdown again. Twelvetrees points to the posts again. 

Ratuniyarawa reads the lineout well and taps the ball back to Saints hands. Biggar clears long and Woodward races back to collect. Heinz boxes clear again and Mitchell is there. Saints play on from deep. 

Biggar and Francis make good ground but the latter gets isolated and Gloucester earn the penalty at the breakdown. Evans sends the ball to touch for a lineout inside Saints' half.

Ackermann collects the restart and Heinz boxes clear. Waller scoops up the loose ball and Saints play on again.

Saints manage to turn the ball over but with an advantage coming to Gloucester already, we come back for that. Twelvetrees points to the posts again. 

Saints press but Ludlow intercepts and makes it up to Saints' 22 before he can be taken down. Gloucester keep coming.

Isiekwe gets up and disrupts the lineout. The ball comes down on Saints side and the away side push on the five metre line once again.

Isiekwe punches his way up towards the Gloucester 22 before Furbank spots space in behind and dinks the ball through to touch. Lineout Gloucester in their own 22. 

Gloucester send the restart high after Saints press well in defence. Furbank is there and Saints push on again. 

A huge hit from Adendorff pushes Gloucester back but the home side still come and earn a penalty at the breakdown. Twelvetrees points to the posts.

Heinz whips the ball out of the scrum quickly and Gloucester press into Saints' 22. 

Gloucester hold the ball up on the restart though and earn the scrum just inside Saints' half. 

Ribbans takes the lineout again and Hutchinson and Francis link up in the midfield before Saints are awarded a penalty at the breakdown. Biggar points to the posts.

Gloucester look to come forwards but Waller gets over the ball an earns Saints the penalty. Biggar sends it to touch for a lineout back inside Gloucester's 22.

Gloucester claim the lineout but Saints hold their maul attempt well and Heinz is forced to box clear. The home side manage to regather and play on on the halfway line.
