Northampton Saints vs Harlequins

There's six seconds left on the clock and Saints choose the scrum option.

Saints push forwards from the scrum and earn a penalty at the breakdown! 

Quins come wide but the ball goes forwards and we'll have a scrum with 30 seconds left on the clock. 

James sends it high again and Quins just manage to get to the ball first. Saints are defending hard as Quins work into their half now.

Care sends it high and Furbank gathers the bouncing ball. Saints play on again.

Saints build patient phases before James boxes high. Jones is there but Saints take him down. Quins recycle the ball and play on now. 

Grayson points to the posts with the penalty just inside Quins' half. 

Ratuniyarawa takes the lineout and Saints have the advantage coming as the whip the ball wide with Quins failing to release. They work up to Quins' 22 but we come back for the advantage as Saints knock the ball on. 

Care clears to touch off the scrum. Lineout Saints back near halfway. 

Haywood is replaced by Fish as we set the scrum. 

But the ball is deemed to have gone forwards off Saints and Quins will have the scrum. 

Saints attack hard now and work deeper into Quins' 22, they keep pushing.

Lawes takes the Lernout and Francis comes forwards. Saints send the ball wide right and push into Quins' 22 before coming back the other way. 

Quins steal the lineout though and push forwards in the midfield. Saints defend hard though and Hinkley gets over the ball to earn Saints the penalty. Furbank puts it long into touch for a lineout on Quins' 22. 

Quins push against Saints' defence off the lineout but Lawes is strong over the ball and earns Saints the penalty. Furbank sends the ball into touch for a lineout back near halfway.

Smith sends the resulting penalty into touch and Quins will have the lineout in Saints' 22.

Furbank returns from his HIA and Proctor takes his leave.

A good period of defence from Saints but they're pinged for not releasing at the breakdown.

Quins push up to the halfway line before Care boxes high and David wins the contest for the high ball. Quins play on. 

Hinkley scoops up overthrown lineout ball and races forwards. He's taken down and Saints knock the ball on as it comes wide. Scrum Quins.

James replaces Mitchell as we set the lineout.

Mitchell sends the ball high and Jones is there to find Esterhuizen. Care boxes high and Hutchinson gathers. Saints push into Quins' half again now. 

Ratuniyarawa is puf or the lineout and Saints maul forwards before releasing Hutchinson in the midfield. Saints come wide but Smith intercepts and boots down the pitch. Saints regather and play on again.

Quins push forwards off the scrum and Care boxes high. Proctor is under it and he comes forwards himself. Mitchell sends it high and Iyogun gets under it. Grayson tries to send the cross field to Sleightholme but Marchant just gets there first. Sleightholme is over the ball to earn Saints the penalty though and Grayson puts it into the corner. 

Ratuniyarawa is up for the lineout and Saints maul forwards but as it comes down referee Matthew Carley awards Quins the scrum. 

Saints whip the ball wide to Sleightholme off the restart before bring it back inside to Grayson. He boots is downfield but Lynagh is there to gather and send to touch. Lineout Saints on Quins' ten metre line.

HIA for Furbank after the hit and Sleightholme takes his place. 

There's a possible high hit on Furbank on the restart and we're with the TMO to check it.

Moon steals the lineout and Grayson boots it downfield. Quins are penalised for obstruction there though and Grayson points to the posts.

Ratuniyarawa is up for the lineout and Furbank races forwards after Mitchell puts him in space. But Quins are deemed to get over the ball and Smith clears to touch. 

Saints whip the ball wide off the lineout before Grayson sends the ball downfield. Lynagh is back there though and he marks it before sending the ball into touch for a Saints lineout.

Freeman drops the ball on his boot after Quins return the restart but Quins manage to get there first. They throw the ball forwards just after though and we'll have a Saints scrum. 

Dingwall is replaced by Francis as we restart. 

Quins play with advantage off the lineout and think they've scored in the corner. We're with the TMO to check the grounding.

Saints push hard but Quins get over the ball and earn a penalty there. Smith sends the ball to the corner. 

Quins turn the lineout over but clear straight away and Saints play on. 

Mitchell boxes high as the referee calls advantage over and Smith is there. Quins come wide but Saints turn the ball over and Mitchell boots downfield. Smith works back and clears to touch. Lineout Saints on halfway. 

Donbrandt takes the restart and Quins push forwards before Care boxes high. Furbank takes the high ball well and Mitchell sends the ball high himself. Quins sends Jones through but he knocks the ball on as he reaches Saints' five metre line. Saints play on. 

Quins maul forwards and have an advantage coming there. They break away and make it to Saints' five metre line now.

Care hacks over the top and Grayson steams forwards but Saints are penalised for coming it at the side at the breakdown there and Smith puts it into the corner. 

Quins earn the penalty as the maul comes down though and Smith puts it into touch for a lineout on halfway. 

Mitchell chips over the top into space off the lineout and the ball bobbles into touch. Lineout Quins on their own five metre line. 

Moon takes the restart and Mitchell sends it high. Jones is there and the ball comes back to Smith to clear. Furbank gathers and boots downfield himself. Smith is there but he slips and hacks the ball into touch. Lineout Saints inside Quins' half. 

Smith gets us restarted here at the Gardens!

Lawes is up for the lineout and Dingwall crashes forwards again. Saints push before Grayson puts the ball on his boot. Care returns it to the fly-half and Saints play on again.

Mitchell hacks forwards off the back of the scrum but Jones is back there and he clears. Lineout Saints back on halfway. 

Coles is replaced by Moon as we set a Saints scrum to restart on halfway – hopefully nothing too serious for the lock. 

Mitchell boxes long from the restart and Jones is under it. He's stopped by Lawes and Iyogun on halfway and Ratuniyarwa turn set ball over there. They peel forwards down the left but as play comes back to where Coles is down injured we pause. 

Ludlam and the Ratuniyarawa barge close. Lawes haas a go but Saints are just short. They keep pushing.

A second advantage for Saints and we come back for the first penalty. Saints choose the scrum option. 

A brilliant piece of solo play from Freeman sees him break Quins' line, chip to himself and regather. Saints push deep inside Quins' 22 now and have the advantage coming too. 

Mitchell boxes off the back of the lineout and Murley is on it. He comes forwards but Saints defend hard.

Quins come forwards off the scrum, working into Saints' 22 and coming wide. But there Furbank puts in a brilliant try-saving tackle and Saints will have the lineout. 

Quins hack forwards but the ball makes contact with the referee and we'll restart with a Quins scrum. 

Hinkley is up for the lineout and Dingwall crashes forwards off it. But Quins get over the ball there and earn the penalty at the breakdown. Smith puts the ball into touch for a lineout inside Saints' half. 

Care and Mitchell exchange kicks before the Quins scrum-half finds touch. Lineout Saints on halfway. 

No conversion from Grayson but Coles takes the restart well and Mitchell sends the ball high for Proctor to chase. Quins just get there first and Care returns the high ball Mitchell's way.

Mitchell finds Hutchinson off the scrum and Dingwall is on his shoulder. Saints keep coming and are within inches now.

Saints maul forwards and earn penalty there too. Saints choose the scrum option and we'll have out first uncontested scrum. 

HIA for Hill and Waller takes his place, we go to uncontested scrums while he's off.

Ludlam charges forwards and Saints barge forwards. They work up to the five metre, with advatange coming, and when the cross field kick doesn't come off we come back for it. Furbank puts it into the corner.

Quins disrupt the lineout but knock on and Saints will have the scrum. 

A scrappy broken field off the back of the lineout and Saints push forwards but a hack through comes off a Quins boot and heads into touch. Lineout Saints. 

Care sends the ball high from the restart and finds touch this time. Lineout Saints back on halfway.

Quins come forwards and Saints defend hard but are penalised at the breakdown. Smith points to the posts.

Proctor gets under the ball but just knocks on and Iyogun collects in an offside position. Smith sends the resulting penalty into the corner. 

Saints defend hard off the scrum and Care sends it high again. Proctor is under it and Mitchell returns the ball. Hinkley hits hard in defence as the ball comes down and Quins are forced to box high again. 

Freeman breaks through and charges forwards but is tackled just as he goes to chip forwards and knocks the ball on. Scrum Quins.

A tough looking knock to Carey sees the prop leave the field, with Hill entering play to take his place. 

Ratuniyarawa breaks Saints' line and he finds Mitchell on his shoulder. The scrum-half hares forwards and makes it up to the Quins five metre line before he's take down, and with his toe in touch as he lands Quins will have the lineout. 

Saints send the ball wide before Furbank chips through. Freeman is in chase but Quins just manage to get there first. Care sends the ball high and Furbank is under it. Saints play on.

Care is forced to box from the restart after good pressure from Saints and Saints will have the lineout inside the Quins half now.

Quins push forwards from the restart and have an advantage coming as they push towards Saints' 22 now.

Augustus – who took a large knock in the game's early stages – is replaced by Hinkley as we restart. Hinkley comes on to make his Saints debut, becoming Saint #2055 in the process.

Saints turn the ball over and whip it wide quickly. Hutchinson and Freeman come forwards, hacking through. Quins get back and knock the ball dead. Goal line drop out for Quins.

The ball comes wide quickly to Proctor who puts it on his boot and chases himself. Jones is back there but good pressure forces Care to send it high. Proctor is back under it and he finds Augustus but Saints are penalised for blocking and Smith sends the resulting penalty to touch for a lineout just outside Saints' 22.

Grayson chips over the top for Freeman to chase but the ball is touched in flight by a Quins hands and it heads into touch. Lineout Saints. 

Dombrandt gets up for the kick-off and Care sends it high and Saints play on on halfway.
