Aviva Premiership rugby returns as Saints travel to Bath

Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

This Friday Saints travel to Bath for the return of the Aviva Premiership after disappointingly dropping out of the Anglo-Welsh Cup last weekend despite enjoying a 50-10 win over Scarlets in the final round of pool games.

Currently on a three-game losing streak in the Aviva Premiership, Bath will be coming back to their English campaign looking to end that run of form as they host Saints at the Recreation Ground on Friday night.

Saints, on the other hand, have won their last three fixtures in the top-flight of English rugby and, with an impressive record at the Rec, will be looking to extend that unbeaten run further as the Aviva Premiership returns this weekend.

Though Bath were the victors in this season’s opener at the Gardens back in September, Saints have not lost a game in their last five visits to the Rec and the loss at home in September was their first in the last ten meetings between the sides.

Friday night’s game kicks off at the Recreation Ground at 7.45pm and is being shown live on BT Sport 1 from 7pm.
