Big matches and big occasions to open Saints season

Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

This October and November will see some big matches and big occasions open the Saints' Aviva Premiership and European Rugby Champions Cup campaigns, and tickets are on sale for supporters to get behind the team as they take on some of the best teams in the country.

The Big Kick Off starts with a mouth-watering clash with Newcastle Falcons, which last year served up outstanding entertainment. Last season saw the Saints and Falcons share 80 points and nine tries as the teams showed their attacking intent. With Newcastle now well established back in the top flights, and both clubs potentially re-introducing their World Cup players, this could be a firecracker.

The ongoing development of the Barwell Stand means that this game is being played at stadiummk, with a 1:45pm kick off allowing for that day's Rugby World Cup semi-final to be shown on the venue's big screens, too.

Franklin's Gardens will host its first action on Saturday, November 7th, when the 2014/15 league winning Saints will come up against the overall Aviva Premiership champions, Saracens. This memorable occasion will be the first time that the Barwell Stand will oversee competitive action, and already tickets are in very high demand. This game, which will kick off at 3:15pm, will also be the Saints' annual Remembrance Ceremony.

The European Rugby Champions Cup begins the following weekend with a prime time Saturday night clash against the Scarlets. Anglo-Welsh action always has added spice, especially against the men from Llanelli, with the Saints and Scarlets having plenty of memorable matches over the years. As was shown clearly last season, home games are more important than ever in the 20-team Champions Cup, and having a sea of black, green and gold roaring on the players could be crucial in getting the European campaign off to a good start!

Tickets for all these games, as well as every other home match before Christmas, are available now 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at www.northamptonsaints.co.uk/buytickets

Supporters can choose their seat regardless of whichever device they are using to order online, and by using Print@Home for their Franklin's Gardens tickets they can also beat the match day queues and save the admin fees!
