Brookes back in white for Wales showdown

Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

England coach Eddie Jones has named an unchanged starting XV for Saturday’s mammoth Six Nations clash with Wales, though there is a recall to the match day squad at Twickenham for Kieran Brookes.

An untimely injury meant the tight head’s return to action came too late for the opening three rounds, but having quickly re-found his fitness and form in black, green and gold, Brookes returns to a 23 led once more by clubmate Dylan Hartley.

“It was a tight call between Kieran Brookes and Paul Hill, who have pushed each other hard, but Kieran gets the nod for Saturday," Jones commented.

“There is a huge amount to play for on Saturday and we are looking forward to being back at home in front of a vocal Twickenham crowd.”

The game is being shown live in bars around Franklin’s Gardens immediately following the Saints’ game with Sale. Entry is FREE, but you’ll need a match ticket to get in! Book online by CLICKING HERE

In other international news, Rory Hutchinson has been moved back to outside centre for Scotland Under-20s' Six Nations clash with France, being played at Broadwood in Glasgow on Friday night.

And Alex Moon is in line for his England Under-20 debut after being named on the bench for Friday night's game with Wales, being played at Ashton Gate in Bristol. This game kicks off at 7:45pm with live coverage on Sky Sports.
