Saints centre Luther Burrell says that England have momentum ahead of their summer tour to Australia following their 27-13 victory over Wales at Twickenham on Sunday.
Burrell, who has been called into the squad for the three-Test tour, said: “It’s going to be a very, very tough challenge.
“We’re under no illusion about that but we’re in a brilliant position. Coming off the back of the Six Nations and a good performance today, we’ve got a little bit of momentum with us.
“We’re going to have to work hard and we are going to have play better than we did today if we’re going to stand a chance of beating them.”
Burrell was making his first England appearance since the World Cup warm-up match against France in Paris, and he thoroughly enjoyed being back at Twickenham: “I think, obviously for me, it’s been fantastic to get back out there today.
“It’s the home of rugby and I love every moment and every opportunity I get to wear that rose. We put out our strongest team and it was a full Test match and as you saw today, it was a fantastic game.”
