Northampton Saints’ greatest-ever season will be celebrated at a ten-year anniversary dinner in early 2024, with many of the players who lifted two pieces of silverware set to appear at the event.
The 2013/14 season saw the men in Black, Green and Gold win the Premiership for the first time, defeating Saracens after extra time in a thrilling Twickenham Stadium final.
That remarkable triumph came a week after Tom Wood and Phil Dowson hoisted aloft the Challenge Cup when Saints saw-off Bath in the final at Cardiff Arms Park.
Wood and Dowson will be at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens, along with the likes of Stephen Myler, Luther Burrell, Salesi Ma’afu, Lee Dickson, George Pisi and Ben Foden – to name but a few – for a special dinner event on 8 February 2024.
Also set to be involved from the current squad are prop Ethan Waller and first-team coach James Craig, who were part of the class of 2014, as well as the man who scored the Premiership-winning try, Alex Waller.
Hosted by Club historian Graham McKechnie, the anniversary event features a three-course dinner and a welcome drink.
Supporters will get the chance to rub shoulders with many of Saints’ history makers from a decade ago and pick up some unique memorabilia in an auction hosted by Ethan Waller.
“This is a truly special event to mark a milestone year in the Club’s long history,” said Northampton Saints chief executive, Mark Darbon.
“We’re delighted that so many of the players who helped achieve the double will be returning to the Gardens.”
Mark Darbon, Northampton Saints Chief Executive
“The 2013/14 anniversary dinner will provide a wonderful opportunity for our supporters to celebrate the achievements of that team with the players who made their dreams come true out there on the pitch.”
