In July Jim Mallinder and Saints sales and marketing manager Brian Facer will be taking on L'Etape do Tour, a stage of the Tour de France which is open to members of the public. The 2012 Etape includes the Col du Tourmalet, the highest road in the Central Pyrenees, and three other tough climbs in the 197km ride between Pau and Bagneres-de-Luchon.
Mallinder and Facer will be riding to raise much needed funds for the Puzzle Centre, a Buckingham charity which is in its tenth year of providing high quality specialised early intervention for pre-school children with communication and autism spectrum disorders.
The Charity Raffle - the proceeds of which will also go to the Puzzle Centre - has some outstanding, money-can't-buy prizes:
- Your favourite Saints player's shirt straight off their back, mud sweat and all!
- A coaching session with Jim Mallinder for your local club or team
- Bernie's 2010/11 Heineken Cup shirt, worn in Cardiff last May and signed by the dog himself!
- A limited edition Saints cycling shirt, signed by Jim Mallinder
- A 2011/12 Saints shirt signed by the squad
- A ball signed by the 2011/12 Saints squad
As if this weren't enough, sell 10 books of tickets and receive a signed picture of your favourite Saints player. Sell 50 books and receive a signed Saints shirt!
You can collect your ticket books from the Community tent in the Village before Sunday's LV= Cup semi-final from 11am.
Stubs and monies must be returned to the Saints Ticket Office or Saints Superstore before Tuesday, May 1st. Prizes will be drawn on Wednesday, May 2nd and will be presented during the half-time break of the Saints' final Aviva Premiership Rugby match of the season against Worcester on Saturday, May 5th. All prize winners will be notified in advance and will also receive a pair of tickets for the game as part of their prize.
Mallinder and Facer's L'Etape du Tour is being supported by the Trek Store, Milton Keynes. All ticket books include a voucher for a free gift from the Trek Store, which is located on Elder Gate next to the Central Milton Keynes exit off the A5.
