Playing at full back, Collins - who scored twice on his debut for Coventry seven days earlier - went over the whitewash during the second half of the 22-6 away success. Sam Olver (Oundle School) came off the bench to add a conversion, with prop Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi playing from the start.

Earlier in the day England Under-17s also played France. Three Junior Saints Academy players - centre Rotimi Segun (Northampton School for Boys) and locks Karl Wilkins (St Joseph's College, Ipswich) and Josh Peters (Oundle School) - were included in the squad, Wilkins and Peters from the start, Segun from the bench. However they could not help England go down 25-38.

The Saints Under-17s are back in action as part of this Saturday's Open Day. They take on London Wasps Under-17s on the Franklin's Gardens main pitch in a game that kicks off at 2pm.
