Craig: We need to cut out individual errors

Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

Saints head to the Madejski Stadium on Saturday, where the Exiles will have their victory over Leicester Tigers at Welford Road fresh in their minds. Craig talks about how he knows that the Saints will have to put in a top-notch performance to take a win away from Reading.

“During the last 20 minutes of the Bath game we made a lot of individual errors,” he said. “We stepped out of our defensive positions which we can’t afford to do, especially against a team like London Irish. They’ve got a lot of brilliant individuals so we can’t afford to do that on Saturday.

“London Irish have been playing some great rugby, defensively and attacking wise. They're pretty good up front as well so we’ve got to be on that. To push Saracens close was a pretty decent effort from them and to beat Leicester is never easy no matter what’s going on up there, so they're definitely going to be a threat this weekend.

“Obviously you just go out to win the game first but when its dry and fast and you have a few tries in the bag you’re obviously thinking about the fourth. We obviously got the fourth this weekend at the end but then we switched off a big. We could have drawn the game, we could have lost the game, so we have to ensure that when we get that fourth try we close the game down.”
