The second row forward was in line to feature for the Saxons in this Friday’s meeting with the Irish Wolfhounds, but will now link up with six other Saints at Pennyhill Park as an injury cover for Geoff Parling.
Day, Players’ Player of the Season at Franklin’s Gardens, made his Saxons debut in 2011 and is seen as a key component of a Saints lineout currently operating at 93% for the season.
