Day: Saints looking forward, not back

Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

The men in black, green and gold currently lie second in the table having lost just once domestically, form they will have to maintain if they want to come away from a tough venue with the points.

Our home performance against Leinster was a real shock to the system, but then it restored our pride and our faith in ourselves to win away against one of the best teams in Europe," Day told the Saints podcast.

“What happened last week happened last week though. We're professionals and we are paid to play every week. Wasps this week, we are not going to underestimate them in any way and I'm looking forward to it.”

Saturday’s hosts are on a run of three straight wins themselves and with big match ups all over the field, Day is relishing facing off with one of England’s second row stars.

“They've got quality team players throughout their team. Joe Launchbury is a very good player, he’s come on the scene recently and made a really good name for himself.

"If we play to our best though I think we've got enough up front to deal with what Wasps have got to offer and our set piece is pretty good at the moment too. We'll go into the game confident but we'll certainly not underestimate Wasps.”

There is no TV coverage for the game in Wycombe, but you can follow all the action as it happens at www.saintslive.co.uk. The official Saints podcast will be available for download tomorrow afternoon at www.soundcloud.com/official-saints-rugby
