Dickinson: We don’t want this run to end

Following last weekend’s 18-0 beating of Newcastle, the Saints’ winning streak goes back to October’s Heineken Cup meeting with Ospreys, while they have not lost in the league since the Round 3 trip to Gloucester some nine weeks ago.

“It’s good to be on a run like this,” Dickinson told the Saints Podcast. “We’ve picked up a few wins and the mood in the camp is really positive.

“There’s been a lot of reflection on the good things that we’ve done but there’s also a drive to keep things going and not just let it end as it sits. We want to make something of it.”

Despite eventually easing past Newcastle at Franklin’s Gardens and keeping a clean sheet in the process, the number 8 knows that the Saints will have to be on their game again this weekend if they want to avoid an upset at Sixways.

“We knew it was going to be a real challenge against Newcastle and while we were frustrated at times, it was good to come out of a game like that with four points when we weren’t at our very best.

“If nothing else we know this weekend is going to be a battle and a fight again. Worcester’s position in the league compared to ours makes it an incredibly dangerous game. Some things haven’t gone their way but if they get on top of some key areas of their game they can cause us some problems.

“It’s down to us to make sure we do our job right in defence and to take our chances when we attack.”

Action at Sixways kicks off at 3pm on Saturday afternoon and with no TV coverage, you can instead follow live stats, commentary and have your say on the game at saintslive.co.uk.
