Double the Saints for England in Calcutta Cup clash

Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

Second row Lawes starts in the second row having played every minute of the Saints’ last two Aviva Premiership outings, while Wood provides back row cover from the bench having skippered his club at Gloucester last weekend.

“There’s always a lot of competition for places and having experienced players like Courtney and Tom available after playing well for their clubs in the last few weeks adds to our options,” head coach Stuart Lancaster commented.

“It’s been an intense two weeks of training as everyone wants to be on that field on Saturday to put things right after Dublin and we have had to make some tough selection calls.

“Coming back to Twickenham will be huge for us and we are determined to put in a performance against a strong and motivated Scotland team.”

Burrell and Hartley make their fourth starts of the competition at inside centre and hooker respectively.

Kick off at HQ is at 5pm and you can watch live on the BBC.
