Foundation Day returns to cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens on Saturday 21 March, as Northampton Saints take on Newcastle Red Bulls with a 3.00pm kick‑off – and it promises to be a fantastic day of rugby, community spirit and fundraising in support of Northampton Saints Foundation.
From the moment you arrive, there will be plenty happening around the ground to raise vital funds and awareness for the Foundation, which uses the power of sport and the values of rugby to inspire, support and educate thousands of people each year.
Last year, Foundation Day raised an incredible £60,638 – a testament to the passion and generosity of Saints supporters. With your help, we can go even further this year and ensure the Foundation continues to grow, innovate and support our community for years to come.
Showing support on and off the pitch
Before kick‑off, keep an eye on the pitch as Saints’ players will wear red during their warm‑up to show their support for Foundation Day.
Players not involved in the matchday squad will be out and about around the stadium, meeting supporters, signing memorabilia and taking photos, with donations supporting the Foundation’s work.
At half‑time, please stay in your seats as Northampton Saints Foundation will take to the pitch for a special Foundation Day competition on the pitch, proudly sponsored by QLM Search.
What’s happening around the Stadium?
There will be plenty to get involved in across the Supporter Village and around the stadium, including:
- Raffle tickets available from Foundation representatives, offering the chance to win an incredible range of prizes
- The Foundation Day auction, featuring exclusive experiences and signed Saints memorabilia
- Spin the Wheel in the Inclusion Hub and at the Foundation gazebo near Main Reception
- Face Painting in the Inclusion Hub – perfect for younger supporters
- Pick up a Northampton Saints Foundation flag for a donation, which can be signed by players and kept as a memento of the day
Easy ways to support the Foundation on matchday
Supporting the Foundation couldn’t be easier on Foundation Day. You can:
- Ask bar staff to add ‘One for the Foundation’ to your order – a £1 donation will be added directly to your bill
- Selected bars around the ground will donate 10p per pint for every draught drink sold
- Make a donation at the till when visiting the Saints Store
- Add a donation when purchasing your matchday tickets
Every contribution helps the Foundation continue delivering safe, structured environments and tailored programmes that support education, wellbeing, employability and social inclusion across Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes.
Supporting Foundation Day beyond Saturday
Foundation Day celebrations continue on Sunday 22 March, when Loughborough Lightning face Gloucester‑Hartpury.
Supporters attending the match will also be able to purchase raffle tickets, and the Lightning squad will wear red during their warm‑up to show their support.
