Northampton Saints legends Stephen Myler, Keith Savage and Frank Packman have all been revealed as the latest inductees to the Club’s prestigious Hall of Fame.
The three players will be inducted alongside Jim Mallinder and five other yet-to-be-announced legends of the Green, Black and Gold jersey at a special dinner on Thursday, 20 November at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens
After a three-year hiatus, one of the most exclusive and eagerly anticipated events in Northampton Saints’ calendar, the Hall of Fame Dinner is back.
Established in 2004, the Hall of Fame Dinner is a cherished tradition, honouring those who have made an extraordinary impact in the Black, Green and Gold. Guests for the event will enjoy a three-course meal in the Rodber Bar, with Club Historian and BBC journalist Graham McKechnie hosting what promises to be an unforgettable evening of celebration and inspiration.
The last cohort – Keith Barwell OBE, Ian Hunter, Steve Thompson, Albert Orton, Blair Swannell, Freddie Blakiston, Peter Larter, and Barry Oldham – were inducted in 2018, and now a new group of legendary Saints will be celebrated this November. Stephen Myler (Saint #1834)
The fly-half made his debut for Saints in 2006, having switched codes from rugby league to union earlier that year.
Myler played a huge role in Saints’ return to the PREM in the 2007/08 season, with Northampton recording a 100 per cent winning record in the RFU Championship.
He then kicked all the points as Saints beat Bourgoin to win the European Challenge Cup in 2009, before starring in a remarkable Heineken Cup run in 2011 that saw the Club reach the Final in Cardiff.
But his finest moment in Black, Green and Gold was still to come as the No.10 was instrumental in Saints’ historic 2013/14 season, with Northampton completing a Premiership and Challenge Cup double. Myler was named man-of-the-match in both finals and notched up the most individual points in a season in Club history.
Myler achieved international honours during his time at the Club, getting selected in the 2009 England Saxons squad and playing in the Churchill Cup, before earning a full cap in 2013 during England’s summer tour of Argentina.
He departed Saints in 2018 as the Club‘s second-highest points scorer of all time, with his tally of 2,655 bettered only (just) by Paul Grayson.

Keith Savage (Saint #1309)
The winger made 113 appearances for the Club after making his debut in 1963.
Savage scored one try for England in his 13 caps, but didn’t make his England debut until the age of 25.
He impressed enough in the 1966 Five Nations to earn a spot on the British and Irish Lions tour of Australia and New Zealand, and despite not playing in the Tests, scored seven tries in 12 games on tour.
He would go on to become a two-time Lion, playing again on the 1968 tour to South Africa and ended his Lions career having pulled on the famous red jersey 23 times.

Frank Packman (Saint #1519)
Another winger inducted into this year’s Hall of Fame, Packman made 323 appearances for the Club after debuting in 1983.
A prolific try-scorer, he crossed the whitewash some 178 times in his 323 appearances in Black, Green and Gold – putting him fifth in Northampton's all-time try-scoring records.
Frank, who passed away at the age of 57 in 2021, enjoyed an illustrious career as a player and coached the youth game. He had a far-reaching reputation for playing and promoting the sport.
Frank was a dedicated and loving father to four sons and a daughter. After his police career, his energy and focus helped him become a very successful and highly-regarded businessman. He was director of an international healthcare logistics company, based in Northampton, where he also lived.
