The Saints' five-try, 34-16 win over Newport-Gwent Dragons, when combined with Newcastle's loss at Saracens, secured a place in the LV= Cup semi-finals for a fourth time in five seasons with one round of pool matches still to play for.

The Saints are one of three teams to have three wins from their three games played to date, with Bath (Pool 3, 14 points) and Saracens (Pool 1, 15 points) the other teams to have also guaranteed their places in March's knockout stages.

Pool 2 is still in the balance, with Sale (10 points) just ahead of Leicester (9 points) and Exeter (9 points) in the battle to go forward to the next stage.

But there is still the matter of home advantage to be sorted out, which is why your support will count on Saturday afternoon. The Saints go head-to-head with Saracens at Franklin's Gardens this Saturday afternoon, with the winner being guaranteed a home tie in March.
