Mitchell earns England Under-20 call

Academy scrum-half Alex Mitchell has been included in England's Under-20 Elite Player Squad for the 2016/17 season.

The 19 year old made a return to playing action in black, green and gold for the Wanderers earlier this month against Wasps and earns an immediate call-up by head coach Martin Haag.

Already capped at Under-18 level, Mitchell will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of clubmates Mikey Haywood, Howard Packman and Harry Mallinder in representing England at Under-20 level.

The squad will compete first in the Six Nations at the start of 2017, before heading to Georgia in the summer to defend their World Rugby U20 Championship crown.
