North: We’ve got to front up against Racing

George North is under no illusions as to what the Saints have to do on Friday night when they take on Racing-92 at Franklin’s Gardens.

North, who was a try scorer the last time the team turned around a loss into a win in the back-to-back European Rugby Champions Cup December clashes in December 2013, says that the entire match day 23 will have to raise their intensity, but that all of the players are determined to right the Paris wrongs.

“We’ve got to front up on Friday night and get the job done,” he told SaintsTV. “The boys want to rectify what happened last weekend.

“The standard that the French teams have is tough to step up to but we’ve been looking forward to the return fixture. Racing are a big team that are full of stars. They have enough quality that they have two or three sides to pick from, so for us it’s one of those where we need to deal with and adapt.

“But the support that we get here is massive for us and it inspires us to go again.”
