Northampton Saints would like to assure supporters that the Club is taking every measure possible to ensure that this weekend’s Heineken Cup fixture against Munster Rugby goes ahead as planned.
The cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens pitch has been covered since Thursday by the groundstaff and local company Sports & Stadia Services, with a hot-air dome keeping the playing surface from being damaged by the below freezing temperatures.
In addition, the Club’s stadium staff have been working overtime to ensure the ground is fit to host a near-capacity crowd for the game.
Car Parks A, B, C, and D and the Supporter Village have all been gritted and will continue to be treated until Sunday, as will the gangways around the ground.
Meanwhile, Northampton Borough Council will continue to grit the roads surrounding Franklin’s Gardens which provide access to the stadium.
The Saints Store and Ticket Office will be open from 10am on matchday, while the Supporters Village, Stadium and Bars will open at 11am in time for a 1pm kick-off.
So, for all supporters travelling from both Northampton and Munster, please assume it’s business as usual at the Gardens on Sunday – but do continue to check our website and social media channels for regular updates.
