Quins first step for Wandies in title defence

Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

Northampton Wanderers take on Harlequins at Franklin’s Gardens this evening, as they look to reach their third Premiership Rugby A League Final in three seasons.

Having collected bonus-point wins in nine of their ten outings so far this season, Wandies are in a strong position to defend the title they claimed this time last year.

Ehren Painter, who impressed on first-team duty in the Club’s win over Leicester Tigers, takes his place in the starting line-up – with Charlie Clare and Francois van Wyk making up the front row.

James Grayson has been metronomic from the tee for Wanderers of late and dons the No.10 jersey once more, while Alex Mitchell returns to the side to resume their half-back partnership.

Devante Onojaife also returns for Wanderers this evening, partnering Alex Moon in the second row, and Tom Stephenson captains the side from the centres.

Tom Collins, Ken Pisi and Nafi Tuitavake bring plenty of first-team pedigree to the side in the back three, with Paddy Ryan, Lewis Ludlam, and Ben Nutley completing the line-up.

Tickets for tonight’s match against Harlequins are available to purchase on the gate for £5 (adults) and £2 (juniors), while entry for Saints Season Ticket Holders is FREE.
