Although named on the bench, the Kiwi was an early entrant to the action. And while he put in a solid performance, Wilson and his team mates ended up on the end of their first home reverse in eight months, despite a second half comeback which included good finishes from Tom Stephenson and Jamie Elliott.
“I hate losing,” Wilson told SaintsTV. “But it makes you switch on, train a little bit harder next week. It makes you do your homework a little bit more on the next team you’re going to play.
“And you remember the losses.
“They don’t come all that often with us, which is fortunate enough. We do win, and we do win well. But we’ve got to learn from these losses and make sure we perform next week.”
