Northampton Saints and Travis Perkins have launched the Big Christmas Toy Collection 2015.
This is the third time that the Aviva Premiership club and its main sponsor have partnered up for this initiative, which brightens Christmas for thousands of children and young people who are in care and in need across Northamptonshire.
This year’s Big Christmas Toy Collection will be centred on the Saints’ Aviva Premiership game against Gloucester on Friday, November 27th, where supporters will be able to leave their gift and toy donations at a Travis Perkins truck that will be located within the Franklin’s Gardens Match Day Village.
Donations can also be left at the two Travis Perkins stores in Northampton (Kettering Road and Harvey Reeves Road) throughout that week, along with the Saints Superstore and main Franklin’s Gardens reception.
“In previous years the generosity shown by supporters to this great cause has been overwhelming, helping thousands of children and young people in care to have a gift to open on Christmas Day,” said Paul Tallentire, Divisional Chief Executive Officer, Plumbing & Heating Merchanting Division.
“There are many young people who will not receive presents or have the same celebration that the rest of us have come to expect. Please help us to make sure that this year they experience some of the joy of Christmas and let them know that someone is thinking of them.”
“The Travis Perkins Big Christmas Toy Collection is a highlight of our year, giving us the opportunity to work with our main sponsor on a fantastic community initiative,” said Saints chief executive Allan Robson. “In the past two years our supporters have donated thousands of toys and gifts, and have made a positive difference to children and young people who need our help and support at this time of year.”
Supporters are invited to spend no more than £10 on a new toy or gift. For a range of ideas and suggestions head to www.northamptonsaints.co.uk/xmascollection.
