Three of the Saints’ stand-out performers in December have been short-listed for the Steffans Player of the Month award.
Sam Dickinson has become increasingly prominent over the past few weeks, starting three of the four matches. As well as making plenty of carries and anchoring the scrum power at number eight, Dickinson has made some crucial tackles and vital times, too, not least in the Aviva Premiership win at Bath at the start of the month.
Teimana Harrison has been a virtual ever-present throughout December. The back rower has started at both flanker and at number eight during the month, and his commitment both with ball in hand and in defence has earned him plaudits from commentators, supporters and players alike, not to mention a nice piece of Waterford crystal after taking home the man of the match award in the home European Rugby Champions Cup game against Racing-92.
Mikey Haywood has maintained his consistency of performance throughout the opening three months of the season, helping the scrum win praise from all quarters and throwing in to one of the most successful lineouts in the Aviva Premiership.
