In a month that coincides with the Autumn International window, the Saints won four of five games to both maintain their place at the summit of the Aviva Premiership and also lead the way in LV= Cup Pool 2.
Set-piece proved the foundation for plenty of success in November and in the lineout, Haywood was near flawless, hitting 46 of his 48 throws, an outstanding 96% success rate.
Those weren’t his only impressive statistics, however, the hooker also racking up 23 carries, beating four defenders and making 22 tackles in his four appearances for good measure.
Haywood is joined by another of the Saints’ Academy graduates on the shortlist, Stephenson having posted similarly impressive numbers for the month.
Along with skipper Phil Dowson, the 20-year-old centre was one of only two men to play all 400 minutes in November and crammed in 37 carries for 253 metres, 23 tackles, a try and an assist, as well as passing 10 defenders with ball in hand.
The final nominee, James Wilson, also carved up in attack and ended the month with three tries in three starts – including a vital double in the away victory at Saracens.
Not content with just scoring, the Kiwi also provided a pair of tries from the left wing among his 34 carries over 198 metres, nine opposing defenders left trailing in his wake, too.
