European Champions Cup – how things stand (2)

Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

Having taken the win in the Round 1 meeting in Paris, Racing currently lead the way in Pool 5 on eight points, though a maximum back at home against Ospreys mean the Saints are hot on the French side’s heels.

With Treviso sitting pointless at the bottom of the Pool, a pair of victories could well propel the Saints to the summit, especially if home advantage counts in the Racing-Ospreys duel.

Last time the Saints were pooled with the Italians in 2009/10, they took nine points from a possible 10 and a similar result would be a welcome return, particularly with the trip to Italy first up.

That said, two other Pools also contain unbeaten sides and bonus points could well prove crucial in qualification for runners up.

Things very are very much still in the Saints hands though and four wins from their remaining four games would all but see them through.

Tickets are still available for the home leg against Treviso on Saturday, December 13th, kick off set for 3:15pm. Book online now by CLICKING HERE and following the straightforward instructions.
