Having opened their 2016/17 account with a win over Wasps last Friday, the Saints Under-18s begin their tour of Dublin on Monday afternoon against Leinster Schools.
They'll be continued as they finished against Wasps, rather than as they started, having come from 10-24 behind to win comfortably in the end at Stowe School. Academy coach Mark Hopley says that while that result is always important, at under-18 level player development is always at the forefront of what the Saints Academy does.
"We had the opportunity to look at 30 lads last week and implemented some of the things we've been working on over pre-season," he said. "I think a lot of our basic skills got better after the break at Stowe and we improved as the game wore on. That's the challenge for these guys - to keep getting better with every game.
"The hard work continues and to narrow the group down for the trip to Dublin was tough, but now we look forward to the challenge."
Kick off is at 3pm.
