Supporters can now cast their votes for Northampton Saints’ 2019-20 End of Season Awards, with the annual ceremony at Franklin’s Gardens taking on a different format this year.
A series of gongs can be voted on by the Club’s supporters – with the Travis Perkins Supporters’ Player, Church’s Breakthrough Player, GRS Group Young Player and Michael Jones Jeweller Try of the Season prizes all up for grabs.
The Carlsberg Players’ Player of the Season award will also be voted on by the senior Saints squad, while those who have hit significant milestones of 50, 100 and 200 matches for Northampton this term will be recognised for their contribution to the Club.
Every player in the Saints squad is eligible for the Travis Perkins Supporters’ Player of the Season award, while shortlists have been drawn up by the Club’s coaches for the GRS Group Young Player, Church’s Breakthrough Player and Michael Jones Jeweller Try of the Season prizes.
To refresh your memory for the Try of the Season award, the seven best Saints scores (as selected by the Club's coaches) from the 2019/20 campaign are available to watch here:
Saints 2019-20 Awards Ceremony
While the red carpet would usually be rolled out for the entire squad and almost 1000 guests for a glittering black-tie ceremony on the hallowed Gardens turf, this year social-distancing guidelines will see the awards winners announced in a unique way.
A pop-up restaurant will open on Saturday 31 October for the final round of the 2020 Six Nations. The ‘Super Saturday’ lunch will be combined with the 2019-20 End of Season Awards, and act as a fundraiser for Tom Wood’s testimonial year.
Inside ‘Woody’s Restaurant’ in the stadium’s Rodber Suite, the legendary Saints flanker and England International will act as host for the afternoon’s festivities, which include a sumptuous five-course meal, screenings of Italy vs England and France vs Ireland matches, special guest appearances, and the exclusive revealing of Saints’ awards winners between the games.
Voting for the awards is open NOW – so have your say by filling in the form below before 5pm on Friday 23 October!
