Wandies name side for East Midlands clash in Leicester

Northampton Wanderers have named their side for a festive derby against local rivals Leicester Tigers A, with the Premiership Rugby Shield competition set to return this evening.

James Grayson will lead the strong line-up that travels to Welford Road (kick-off 7.30pm), with James Mitchell at scrum-half and Andrew Symons and Fraser Dingwall in the midfield.

Harry Mallinder spearheads an electric back three, with Ryan Olowofela and Ollie Sleightholme on the wings, while in the pack Toby Trinder, Michael van Vuuren and Karl Garside line up in the front row.

Just behind them Lewis Bean and Devante Onojaife play in the engine room, with a back row of JJ Tonks, Ollie Newman and Tui Uru rounding off the side.

The Wanderers sit third in the Northern Conference heading into the clash, with one win and one defeat in two matches so far, but another triumph would keep the side well in the hunt for a place in the competition’s knock-out stages.
