That score showed a poacher’s instinct and there are few in black, green and gold who know their way to the tryline better than last season’s top try scorer.
CHRISTIAN DAY An England training call-up showed just how highly rated Christian Day is by those in the know – something the Gardens faithful have been seeing for the best part of seven years. Back after a well-earned rest, expect the lineout maestro to be back running things as efficiently as ever.
LONDON IRISH
ANDREW FENBY Arguably the Exiles’ form back for the season so far, Andrew Fenby is Irish’s leading ball carrier (98) and metre-maker (548) in the Aviva Premiership. The former Scarlets wing notched 13 times in 23 appearances last season at Madejski Stadium and forms a dangerous looking back three with Topsy Ojo and Tom Fowlie.
DAVID PAICE Capped eight times by England, David Paice finds himself in good form for Irish so far this season. His lineout accuracy currently sits at a healthy 90%, while among the forwards he is the Exiles’ leading ball carrier.
