Northampton Saints are excited to launch a refreshed Women’s Touch Rugby programme, with weekly paid sessions now available alongside a brand‑new monthly playing opportunity for local clubs.
With external funding for the programme coming to an end, the new structure ensures Women’s Touch Rugby can continue to grow while remaining accessible, enjoyable, and community‑driven.
Weekly sessions will continue to run in the High Performance Centre (HPC) at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens during term time and remain open to current members for a small fee.
In addition to the weekly sessions, the HPC will also host three dedicated match‑play evenings, inviting players from clubs across the region to come together for friendly, referee‑supported games. These sessions will take place on:
- Tuesday 28 April
- Tuesday 19 May
- Tuesday 23 June
The aim is to give players more opportunities to enjoy competitive but relaxed game time, meet others in the touch community, and experience the Northampton Saints and Loughborough Lightning training environment.
WEEKLY SESSION DETAILS:
- Dates: Every Tuesday in term time.
- Time: 19:00 – 20:30
- Location: High Performance Centre at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens. Please park in the Saints Car Park A, Abbey Street, NN5 5LN
- Ages: 18 and over
- Pricing: £3 per session / block of eight for £21 (plus £1.50 booking fee).
- What you need: Clean rugby boots and a water bottle.
