Loughborough Director of Rugby Rhys Edwards has named his Lightning side ahead of this Saturday’s trip to Wasps – making eight changes to his starting line-up for the clash.
Lightning take to the road after last weekend’s 22-57 loss to Bristol at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens, making the short trip to Twyford Avenue for Round 14 of the Allianz Premier 15s.
Scotland international Rachel Malcolm leads Loughborough from the back row, shifting to the No. 8 shirt this weekend to allow Morwenna Talling and in-form Sadia Kabeya to start at flanker.
Detysha Harper also shifts position on Saturday, moving across the scrum to start at loosehead prop – with hooker Bryony Field also coming into the starting line-up to join Christine Belisle in Lightning’s front row.
Red Roses’ Cath O’Donnell carries on in Loughborough’s engine room and is joined by incoming Lilli Ives Campion who comes in from the bench to start this weekend.
Lightning’s half-back berths are again manned by Megan Davey and Helen Nelson, while Bulou Mataitoga returns from injury to partner Carmela Morrall in the centres.
And Georgie Lingham and Georgina Tasker both come into the starting line-up for the first time in 2023, joining Wales’ Carys Williams-Morris to complete the back three.
