Loughborough Lightning will return to cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens this weekend, and are bolstered by their international players as they take on Gloucester-Hartpury on Sunday.
After securing a romping 70-5 win over Wasps last time out in the league, Lightning get back to Allianz Premier 15s action this Sunday – with a host of internationals returning from TikTok Women’s Six Nations duty.
Fresh from claiming the Grand Slam, Red Roses stars Morwenna Talling, Sadia Kabeya, Helena Rowland and Cath O’Donnell are all named in Rhys Edwards’ matchday 23 for the clash with Gloucester, as Lightning go in search of their third win of the season in Northampton.
Likewise, Loughborough’s Scotland internationals also return – with Christine Belisle, Helen Nelson, Chloe Rollie, Leah Bartlett and captain Rachel Malcolm pulling on the African Violet shirt.
And winger Carys Williams-Morris also marks her return to Lightning’s side after featuring for Wales at the Six Nations across April.
There is also space for in-form forwards Katie Trevarthen, Bryony Field, Lilli Ives Campion and Sara Svoboda in the starting XV, while scrum-half Megan Davey, centre Emma Hardy and wing Bulou Mataitoga round off the starting line-up.
