ROLE LEVEL: Matchday/Event support
LOCATION: Franklins Gardens
REPORTS TO: Retail Manager
ROLE PURPOSE:
To deliver an exceptional customer experience and provide operational support across Northampton Saints' retail operations, primarily on matchdays. The role includes assisting supporters in-store, supporting ecommerce fulfilment, maintaining high retail standards, and contributing to the smooth running of the Retail Department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming environment for all supporters and visitors.
- Assist customers with product enquiries, sizing, promotions and purchases.
- Respond to customer queries professionally and efficiently, both in-person and online where required.
- Process refunds, exchanges and other retail transactions in accordance with Club procedures.
SALES & TILL OPERATIONS
- Operate tills accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash and card transactions responsibly.
- Assist with balancing tills and cash registers at the end of trading periods.
- Actively contribute towards sales targets and promote current offers and campaigns.
STORE STANDARDS & MERCHANDISING
- Ensure the shop floor remains clean, safe, fully stocked and visually appealing.
- Replenish stock and maintain product displays to Club merchandising standards.
- Ensure all products are correctly priced, labelled and displayed.
- Support the implementation of new product launches, seasonal displays and promotional campaigns.
STOCK & FULFILMENT
- Pick, pack and dispatch orders placed through the Club's ecommerce platform.
- Assist with stock counts, stock control activities and routine inventory checks.
- Support the receipt, checking and organisation of deliveries.
- Help maintain clean, organised and efficient stockroom areas.
- Report any stock discrepancies, damaged products or operational issues to the Retail Management team.
MATCHDAY OPERATIONS
- Support the Retail Department during Northampton Saints home fixtures and major Club events.
- Assist with crowd management, queue control and maintaining efficient customer flow.
- Help prepare retail areas before opening and support closing procedures after events.
- Represent Northampton Saints in a professional and positive manner at all times.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILTIES
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Retail Department.
- Provide cover and support for team members when required.
- Follow all Club policies, procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably requested to support the successful operation of the Retail Department.

AVAILABILITY:
Applicants must be available to work Northampton Saints home matchdays (approximately 16home games per season), along with occasional Club events and busy retail trading periods.
