Northampton Saints vs RCM Timisoara Saracens

Timisoara look to maul but get nowhere and Ford-Robinson steals the ball. Tuitavake is through but he knocks on and Timisoara clear. Lineout Saints.

Penalty Timisoara on their own 22 as Saints fail to release. Manumua clears to touch. Lineout Timisoara inside Saints' half. 

Penalty Saints at the scrum and Hutchinson sends it to touch for lineout near halfway.

Timisoara look to maul but they're held up and Saints have the scrum.

Saints defend hard but Timisoara earn a penalty there and go for the corner.

Samoa is nearly through but Collins takes him down. Timisoara are up to Saints' 22 now though.

Furbank is nearly through but Saints press on and are close...

Overthrow from Saints and Timisoara look to clear their lines. They eventually do so but they don't find touch and Saints come back at them.

Penalty Saints at the scrum and they go for the corner.

Saints look to be away again and Tuitavake is there but he just knocks on. Scrum Timisoara.

Grayson is replaced by Collins as we restart.

No conversion fro Grayson but Wood enters play as we restart, with Ludlam making way.

Gibson charges up the left wing and Saints are back in Timisoara's 22 soon after and pushing still.

Gibson charges up before Eadie does the same and Saints are back in the Timisoara half quickly. 

Fish replaces Marshall as we restart.

Marshall charges forwards once again before Davies scoots forwards and Saints are back in Timisoara's 22.

Manumua comes forwards but Saints turn over and are back on the attack.

Marshall barges his way forwards on the restart before Saints whip it wide. They come back the other way and Tuitavake comes forwards but knocks on in contact. Timisoara play on.

Davies enter play as we restart, with hat-trick scorer Mitchell making way.

Waller and Hill depart with Davis and Ford-Robinson coming into play. Welcome back Jamma!

No conversion from out wide for Grayson.

Timisoara take the lineout well and maul forwards. Maunmua pushes up to halfway but there they knock on and Saints play on.

Burrell charges forwards once more before the ball comes wide the other way. Furbank chips over and finds touch. Lineout Timisoara on their own 22.

Penalty Timisoara at the scrum and Simionescu looks to send it to touch. But his kick just misses and Saints play on.

Coles replaces Ribbans as we set the scrum. 

Scrappy at the restart but Saints get the ball. They come forwards but just knock on over the halfway line. Scrum Timisoara.

Saints push out for their own 22 once again and are quickly up to halfway. Hutchinson pushes forwards to get the home side in the opposition half before Hill barrels forwards. Saints are up to the Timisoara 22 now.

Saints work hard and earn the penalty at the breakdown. Grayson sends it into touch for a lineout back near halfway.

Scrappy at the lineout but Timisoara keeps the ball. They push forwards but Saints hold them well.

But that advantage ends as Saints send the ball skyward and are then penalised for being offside. Samoa sends the ball into touch for a lineout on Saints' 22.

Penalty Timisoara at the scrum and they opt for the lineout. Saints get the ball though and have the advantage coming if they need it.

One change for Saints at the break - Tuitavake replaces Kellaway on the wing.

Knock on from Saints at the restart and Timisoara have the scrum. 

Samoa gets things back underway here!

Burrell charges forwards out wide and Saints are on the attack again.

Good pressure from Ludlam at the scrum and Timisoara are under the pump straight away. But as they come wide, Waller is pinged for a high tackle. Timisoara go for touch but miss it and Saints come forwards again.

Saints get the ball away quickly but knock on and Timisoara chip clear. The chase is on but Saints just get there first. The home side maul but are held up. Scrum Timisoara.

Short at the restart this time from Timisoara but Saints play on all the same. Furbank chips into space and Samoa is there but Saints get over the ball at the breakdown and earn the penalty. They take it quickly and Grayson chips over the top, he's in chase but Popa just gets there first. Grayson works hard though and pushes the Timisoara centre into the dead ball area. Scrum Saints. 

Marshall hooks the ball at the scrum and Saints play on. 

Kellaway again on the restart and Saints push out of their 22 once more. Grayson just loses control of the ball as he comes forwards though and Timisoara have the scrum. 

... sends the conversion into the left upright though.

Saints come quickly off the lineout and Burrell steams forwards. They push and are up to the five metre now. 

A huge shove from Saints but we re-set the scrum and this time Saints come away with the penalty. Grayson sends it into the corner for a lineout on Timisoara's 22. 

Kellaway takes the restart once more and Furbank comes forwards but knocks the ball on in contact. Scrum Timisoara.

Ludlam breaks and Sleightholme is outside him but he goes inside to Burrell who can't quite get a hand to the ball. Timisoara collect and clear. Grayson takes it and Saints play on. 

Scrappy at the lineout again but Timisoara keep the ball this time. They chip clear though and Kellaway is there. He races forwards before Ludlam takes over. Saints are back in Timisoara's half now and pushing.

Kellaway takes the restart again and clears the ball well. Lineout Timisoara just inside the Saints half. 

Eadie gets up and disrupts the lineout and Saints are instantly back on the attack. Ribbans charges forwards up to the 22 before Grayson steps them into it. 

Short from Timisoara at the restart and Kellaway is there. Saints barrels forwards out of their 22 before Furbanks feeds Burrell in the midfield. The centre charges forwards before setting Sleightholme free. The winger makes it into Timisoara's half before he's pushed into touch. Lineout Timisoara.

It's a second for the Saints hooker as the maul from the lineout makes it all the way over!

Tatarus picks the ball from the back of the scrum but Saints are on him quickly and force the error from their guests. Timisoara are forced into touch and Saints have the lineout. 

Overthrow from Timisoara and though Mitchell gets a hand to the ball, he just knocks on. Scrum Timisoara.

Barrow is up for the lineout and Saints push forwards quickly. Kellaway breaks through and makes it all the way to the line but is pushed into touch just as he touches the ball down. Lineout Timisoara on Saints' five metre.

Timisoara defend strongly though and earn the penalty at the breakdown. Samoa points to the posts.

Timisoara come forwards and make it into Saints' half before the black shirts descend. There they're halted and Saints push them back before Umaga chips through. Furbank collects it and Saints play on from their own 22. 

Eadie gets the ball away quickly from the scrum and Hutchinson is through but his offload to Burrell just comes forwards off the number 12's hands. Scrum Timisoara.

But Timisoara knock the ball on there and Saints have the scrum.

Timisoara knock on just after the scrum and though Sleightholme gets a hand to it, his chip finds touch too soon. Lineout Timisoara inside Saints' half. 

Saints maul from the restart and make several yards before it comes down. But referee Joy Neville deems Saints to be at fault and Timisoara will have the scrum. 

Saints come forwards quickly and are back in Timisoara's 22 in no time. Eadie makes it close before Burrell makes it closer and Saints are within inches...

Free kick Timisoara at the scrum and Samoa sends the ball into touch for a Saints lineout on Timisoara's 22. 

A lovely chip over the top from Grayson finds Timisoara hands but Saint pressure well and force their opposition to run the ball dead. Scrum Saints on the five metre.

Saints turn the ball over at the kick-off and are instantly pushing around Timisoara's 22.
