Gloucester Rugby vs Northampton Saints

Another penalty for Gloucester at the maul this time and Hastings points to the posts. 

Saints are found offside in the midfield though and Hastings puts the ball into touch for a lineout back in Saints' half. 

Gloucester gather the ball on halfway but Saints push them back into their own half. 

Solid at the scrum and Gloucester are forced to use it. Hastings hacks through for Rees-Zammit but the ball goes dead. We come back for a 22 drop out for Saints. 

Saints peel wide off the scrum and Furbank hacks through. But the ball bounces too long and goes dead. Scrum Gloucester just inside Saints' half. 

Knock on Gloucester at the lineout and Saints have the scrum. 

Savala replaces Dingwall as we set the lineout.

Knock on Gloucester off the lineout though and Mitchell sends the box kick clear. Lineout Gloucester. 

Hastings sends a kick through to touch and it comes off Litchfield's hands into touch. Lineout Gloucester in Saints' 22.

Varney sends the ball high and Mitchell finds touch for a Gloucester lineout on halfway. 

Pearson is up for the lineout and Saints come forwards but the ball is stripped in a tackle and Gloucester play on with it. 

Mitchell clears from the lineout but Gloucester keep the ball in play. Saints defend hard though and Lawes gets over the ball to earn them the penalty there. Smith puts the ball into touch for a lineout in Gloucester's 22. 

Gloucester peel wide at pace and Rees-Zammit is out there, he races forwards but Saints push the winger into touch. Lineout Saints in their own 22. 

Saints gather the ball on the restart and Smith sends the crossfield kick over to Freeman. The winger gets there but he's isolated and Gloucester get over the ball. Hasting sends the resulting penalty into touch for a lineout just inside Saints' half.

Varney sends the ball high on the restart and it's Furbank who's under it. He breaks and offloads to Augustus, with the replacement No. 8 charging forwards. He makes it up to the 22 but his offload to Litchfield goes dead off the winger's boot. 22 drop Gloucester. 

Augustus replaces Graham as we restart.

Pearson hold Atkinson up as he comes forwards off the scrum and Saints will have the put in this time. 

Munga replaces Mayanavanua as we set the scrum. 

Gloucester push up to Saints' 22 but Saints knock the ball on in contact and Gloucester have the scrum. 

Varney sends the ball high off the back of the scrum and Gloucester manage to regather it. 

Smith's restart goes straight out though and Gloucester have the scrum on halfway. 

Knock on from Saints in contact off the scrum though and Hastings boots it into touch. Lineout Gloucester on halfway. 

Nort straight at lineout from Gloucester and Saints have the scrum. 

Smith hacks through for Freeman to chase but the ball beats the winger into touch. Lineout Gloucester inside their own 22 now. 

Varney box kicks into touch from the restart. Lineout Saints in Gloucester's half. 

No conversion from Hastings though and Hutchinson returns to get Saints back up to full strength. 

Overthrown at the lineout and Gloucester jump on it.

Good defence from Saints at the maul and Socino is forced to play the ball. Glouester push themselves over the whitewash eventually but they're held up. Goal line drop out to Saints to restart. 

Glouester push into Saints' half but though Saints defend hard but there's a penalty against them at the breakdown for not rolling away. Hastings puts the ball into the corner for a Gloucester lineout there.

Changes for Saints, with a new front row in Haffar, Matavesi and Millar Mills entering the game while Waller, Langdon and Hill make way.

Gloucester have an advantage coming from the scrum as they come wide. But there's a high tackle from Saints there and we're with the TMO to check foul play. 

There's just enough time for a restart here and Saints knock the high ball on there. Scrum Gloucester as the clock enters the red. 

Overthrown at the lineout from Gloucester and Pearson is there to scoop it up. Saints come forwards to halfway where kick tennis ensues. It's Varney who finds touch eventually. Lineout Saints just outside their own 22. 

Waller gets over the ball at the breakdown but he's deemed to have put his hands on the floor first. Hastings puts the ball into the corner.

Smith's conversion heads across the front of the posts but Saints come forwards before Mitchell sends the ball high. Gloucester get there first and Hastings puts the ball into touch with a 50-22 kick. Lineout Gloucester in Saints' 22. 

Coles comes away from the lineout with the ball and Hutchinson puts Dingwall through a gap in the midfield. Saints push up to the five metre line and though Gloucester intercept the ball as it comes wide, Lawes gets over the ball to earn Saints a penalty. Smith puts it into the corner.
