Northampton Saints vs Gloucester Rugby

Gloucester get up for the lineout though and they earn a penalty at the next phase.

The ball comes wide and Pisi sends a grubber through, it's touched by a Gloucester hand and sent into touch. Lineout Saints on the Gloucester 22. 

Harrison is up for the lien out and Hutchinson finds Francis in the midfield. Pisi charges forwards before Lawes has a go. Saints pushing towards the Gloucester 22 now.

Saints have the ball and the penalty from the restart. Furbank sends it long into touch. Lineout Saints just outside Gloucester's 22. 

Saints scramble forwards and Hutchinson breaks through. There's space in behind...

Mitchell turns over the ball as it comes out of the scrum and Saints earn a penalty just after. Furbank sends it into touch for a lineout just outside Gloucester's 22. 

No Gloucester interference says the TMO and Gloucester will have the scrum. 

Knock on from Gloucester though and Saints come forwards. Francis and Pisi sprint up the pitch but the ball comes forwards. We're with the TMO to see if it's a deliberate knock on from Gloucester. 

Gloucester maul before bringing the ball out and they're pushing into Saints' 22 again.

Gloucester look to maul and earn a penalty there. Twelvetrees sends the ball into touch for a lineout inside Saints' 22. 

Lawes charges forwards but he's penalised for holding on and Gloucester have the penalty. Twelvetrees sends the ball into touch for a lineout near halfway. 

Saints charge forwards and make it out of their 22 quickly. Francis breaks down the right with Hutchinson and Mitchell with him. The latter gets up to the 22 before the ball comes back the other way. Naiyaravoro gets things up to the five metre line and Saints keep coming. 

Burrell and Biggar are replaced by Dawidiuk and Pisi, with the former becoming Saint #2009 in the process. 

Gloucester chip the ball through and Saints will have the lineout in their own 22. 

Sharples is up for the restart and Gloucester play on. Heinz clears eventually and Naiyaravoro is there. Francis is on his shoulder and he tries to find Mitchell inside him but the ball finds Mostert's hands. Heinz boxes again and Seabrook secures it for Gloucester. 

Reinach is replaced by Mitchell as we set the lineout.

Gloucester look to maul from the lineout and have the advantage coming. They work into Saints' 22 but we come back for the penalty.   Twelvetrees sends it into the corner. 

Ludlam is replaced by Burrell as we set the lineout. 

Gloucester turn the ball over there though and Banahan sends the downfield. Furbank gets back and clear well. Lineout Gloucester just outside the Saints 22.

Scrappy at the lineout but Saints come up with the ball and barge their way into Gloucester's 22 quickly. They keep coming.

Penalty Saints at the scrum this time and Biggar sends the ball into touch for a lineout just inside Gloucester's 22. 

Gloucester maul forwards to the halfway line but Saints hold them up and Gibson emerges with the ball. Scrum Saints. 

Change at prop for Saints too with Waller and Franks replacing Van Wyk and Hill as we get set. 

Penalty Gloucester at the scrum and Twelvetrees sends it into touch for a lineout near halfway. 

Free kick Saints and Reinach goes quickly. Francis is there with him but he's held up and Gloucester get the scrum. 

We restart with a scrum to Saints. 

It's HIA for Brüssow and Ludlam enters play again. 

Saints work their way up to the 22 quickly and Gibson charges forwards into it. Saints keep coming but we pause the game for a clash of heads on Brüssow. 

Front row replacements for Gloucester; Rapava Ruskin and Dreyer replace Hohneck and Balmain as we restart. 

Gloucester secure the lineout but Saints pressure well and Heinz boxes. Tuala is there. Saints have the advantage for a high tackle and we come back for the penalty quickly. Biggar sends it into touch for a lineout just outside the Gloucester 22. 

No conversion from Biggar but Tuala takes the restart well and Reinach clears. Lineout Gloucester back in their own half. 

Gibson is up for the lineout and Saints maul forwards. 

Cipriani makes way and Polledri is his replacement. 

Hudson is replaced by Seabrook as we get the lineout set. 

Cipriani comes forwards but he knocks on and Naiyaravoro scoops it up. Furbank chips through and chases himself and though he's pushed into touch the tackle is high and Saints have the penalty. Biggar sends it into the corner. 

Scrappy at the lineout but Saints keep it and Reinach boxes, Gloucester just get there first and Cipriani clears again. Furbank is there once more he sends it high again. Cipriani is there but he knocks it on and Saints come forwards. They come wide and knock on themselves and with the first advantage over again, Gloucester have the scrum. 

Hudson looks to scoot right but he's just pushed into touch. Lineout Saints. 

Gloucester get up for the lineout and Cipriani clears long. Furbank is there and he sends it high. He's just beaten to the ball and Gloucester play on. 

Naiyaravoro charges up the left and is up to the Gloucester 22. Advantage coming for Saints and we come back for it. Biggar sends it into the corner. 

Cipriani clears the restart and Furbank is there. He comes forwards and make out back up to the halfway line before Biggar gets them over it. Saints play on. 

Ludlam is replaced by Gibson as we restart. 

Solid scrum from both sides and Gloucester are forced to use it. They work into Saints' half as Cipriani finds Banahan out wide but there Saints take him down.

Ratuniyarawa charges up into the Gloucester half with his first touch of the ball and Saints whip it wide but the final pass is deemed forwards. Scrum Gloucester. 

Reinach boxes the restart and Hudson collects but he's taken down on the halfway line. Gloucester play on and Cipriani sends it high. Furbank is there and Saints come forwards. 

One change for Saints at the break: Ratuniyarawa replaces Moon as we restart.

Plenty of rugby still to play here at the Gardens and with Saints back to full strength, Cipriani gets us back underway. 

Tuala collects the restart and clears well. Lineout Gloucester back near halfway. 

Gloucester look to maul but got backwards and Heinz looks to clear. Ludlam is on him before he can get the ball away though and Gloucester scramble back. Heinz clears this time and Furbank is there. Saints play on.

Marshall goes himself and gets close but he's penalised for holding on. Cipriani sends the ball into touch for a lineout just outside their own 22. 

Reinach uses the ball quickly and Francis gets close. Saints keep pushing.

Penalty Saints at the scrum! Harrison opts for another scrum. 

Biggar sends a grubber through and though Gloucester get a hand to is Francis is there to take the man down and force him to take the ball over the try line. Scrum Saints on the Gloucester five metre line. 

Morgan collects the restart but he's taken down quickly. Heinz boxes clear and Furbank is there. Saints come forwards.

We restart with a lineout for Gloucester from the resulting penalty and they're close through a maul. The ball comes out and they're just inches away now. 

Hutchinson sends the ball up and Hudson is there. Sharples drinks forwards but the ball is knocked on in the next phase and Saints will have the scrum. 

Solid scrum and Reinach is away. He makes it up to the Gloucester ten metre before he's tap tackled. Saints play on. 

Gloucester use the ball quickly and scramble forwards into Saints' half but there they are turned over and Saints play on with the advantage. We come back for it eventually and Saints have the scrum. 

Lawes is up for the lineout and Saints maul before Reinach boxes clear. Gloucester knock the highball on and Saints collect. They make it up to halfway but knock on themselves and Gloucester have the scrum there. 

Kriel breaks through and charges up to the 22 but is taken down by Furbank. Gloucester keep coming but Saints get over the ball and earn the penalty. Biggar sends it to touch for a lineout. 

Gloucester look to maul the lineout but are halted and Heinz boxes. Somehow they regain the ball but Saints defence slows them again. Sharples finds space out wide and makes it up to halfway and Gloucester play on. 

Quick ball out of the scrum and Biggar sends the ball through into space. Lineout Gloucester back in their own 22. 

Saints make slow progress and Biggar sends the ball hugh. Hudson is there though and Heinz boxes. Furbank is there but he loses the ball forwards and Gloucester play on but knock on themselves and with the first advantage over, Saints have the scrum. 

Moon takes the lineout and Saints comes forwards. 

Gloucester scramble forwards but are halted by Saints on their ten metre line. Atkinson sends a grubber through and it finds touch. Lineout Saints on halfway. 

Free kick Gloucester though as Saints are penalised for pushing early. Cipriani goes quickly and Furbank is there. He sends it into touch but Gloucester take the lineout quickly.

There's an advantage coming for Gloucester as they come forwards. They chip over the top but if goes straight out and we come back for the penalty. Cipriani sends it into the corner. 

Reinach boxes the restart clear and Gloucester will have the lineout back near halfway. 

The ball comes out of the lineout quickly and is wide to Sharples but he's taken down. The ball comes back the other way though.

Penalty Gloucester at the ruck as Saints are penalised for not releasing. Cipriani sends it into the corner. 

Tuala takes the restart well and Saints play on before Reinach boxes clear. The ball goes high and Hudson is under it but he's take down immediately. Gloucester play on though.

Moon is up for the lineout and Saints maul forwards. They have the advantage coming and whip the ball wide. Naiyaravoro makes it up to the Gloucester 22 and Saints keep pushing. 

Penalty Saints at the scrum too! And Biggar sends the ball into the Chruch's Stand for a lineout inside Gloucesters' half. 

Gloucester get up and disrupt the lineout. They collect the loose ball and play on but Lawes and Van Wyk hold the ball up in the midfield. Scrum Saints. 

Scrappy at the base of the scrum but Heinz boots the ball away. Lineout Saints on their own 22. 

At a very windy Gardens, Biggar's kick-off goes straight out and we start with a scrum to Gloucester on the halfway line.
